Christian Tanyi

Tanyi Christian E, is the co-founder, and CEO of The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Foundation (LUKMEF).

Christian studied Mathematics, computer science and Chemistry at the University of Buea. He holds a certificate in conflict analysis from the US Institute of Peace in Washington DC.

He worked as an IT consultant for Computer World for two years. As a programmer, he completed a number of open source applications including “Smart Budget” (for charity project financial management) and “Pharmacy Plus” for managing drug stores.

In 1999 he co-founded LUKMEF and became the CEO.

Christian is an educator, a community organiser and a peace activist with 11 years of experience in development work in Cameroon.

Internationally, he has presented key papers in workshops and conferences around the world including the UN on various peace and development issues.

His mind is now set on establishing a specialised centre for Peace, Democracy and Development studies in Africa (AIPDD).
